“An invisible red thread connects those destined to meet, regardless of time, place, or circumstance. The thread may stretch or tangle, but it will never break.” - Chinese Proverb
Shawn and I have been married for 16 years. After our beautiful daughter Kaycee was born, we were unable (reason unknown) to have more children, so we decided to turn to adoption. We have several friends with daughters from China, and we fell in love with those girls. We also are troubled by what happens to many of the girls in China. That's partly why we chose to adopt from there. We believe that a child, no matter what race, deserves to have a family to call there own. It's been a long journey. We started our paperchase in May of 2005. But we have no regrets, ecspecially after seeing our daughter's face for the first time. You feel an instant bond, even though your worlds apart. We'd be honored if you'd follow us for the remainder of our journey. Please keep us in your prayers.
“I will not leave you as orphans, I will come to you." - John 18:14

China Time
Once there were two women who hardly knew each other. One you do not remember, the other you call mother. Two different lives shaped to make yours one. One becoming your guiding star, the other became your sun. The first gave you life, and the second taught you to live in it. The first gave you a need for love, and the second was there to give it. One gave you nationality, the other gave you a name. One gave you the seed of talent, the other gave you an aim. One gave you emotions, the other calmed your fears. One saw your first sweet smile, the other dried your tears. The age old questions through the years;Heredity or environment -which are you the product of?Both my darling - bothAnd two different kinds of love!
